hey everyone. This morning one of my clowns came down with something. His fins were pale and deteriorated. Unfortunately I had to go to work, and when I came home he was barely alive. So I took him out and put him in a bucket with some fresh saltwater from my LFS and he died soon there after. I have another clown whom has just had a few white spots pop up by his middle stripe.. So I'm pretty sure its Ich :( Tmrw i'm going to get a QT setup and separate him. What all do I need for the QT supplies wise.. Also, I think I'm going to get some garlic and vitamin C to soak his food in.. Maybe some other kind of treatment as well. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks guys

What's a sponge filter exactly? Also, will a powerhead suffice as an air pump? I have an mechanical filter with the little spinning filter wheel that someone gave me.. Would that be suitable for a filter?

A sponge filter is exactly what it sounds like, basically a large sponge that connects to a small air pump via airline tubing. The air flow creates a slow water flow through the sponge making it a biological and mechanical filter. Works great for qt tanks as there is very little electrical draw by the air pump as compared to most other filters.
