    Hello Everyone,

Well I came home today to find my stand completely covered in salt creep with little stalagtites forming in the corners from it dripping! I quickly **** my pants and drove very fast to the LFS to ask for some help. After much deliberation and speaking with the owner, here is what is going to happen.

    1. I am draining the 125 G tank into Brute trash cans and putting fish and corals in one, live rock in the other

    2. Tomorrow he will have a 4 foot 120 G (corner overflows) with 40 B sump and stand and plumbing for me for $700.

    3. Tomorrow I will be setting up the new tank and plumbling.

How does my game plan sound? The only down side to this catastrophe is I just bough a brand new Tek T 5 60 inch fixture for my tank, and my grandfather just built me a custom 60 inch stand that can no longer be used. I don't know what to tell my grandfather about this horrible situation.

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Robert

Put a heaters in the cans with corals and fish and pumps in all of them. If you are using sand buy new sand instead of stirring up trouble trying to use the old. You a little of the old scraped from the top to seed the new.

reseal teh tank when you are done then sell it. at least get some of your money back on the deal. Hate to hear it for you though.

+1 on heaters and +1 on the new sand. you can also take some old sand and put it in panty hose so you can remove it later after the new is seeded.
