Colonial Heights, its about 30 mins south of richmond

The store i go to is in richmond on "busy street" its more in the midlothian area. Its called "fish world". They are expensive, but the owner give you a nice discount once he gets to know you.

Nice setup, I am supprised no one picked up or commented on what is in your sump/wet dry filter, "BIO BALLS"
Everyting I have read and heard said to DUMP the bio balls and use live rock. They will only lead to
trouble later on. If you do it now you will be ahead of the game, if you do it later you will have to
remove them in stages which is a PITA.

Another thing if you are running that skimmer turn it off for now till you tank has cycled.
All you are doing right now is wasting electricity.

with a 24 thats only 2.5 gallons or 5 gallons if you do 20% a week. I have been told that by doing water changes you also replenish allot of trace stuff that the tank needs which means you dint have to dose like you would if it was a larger tank.

Like I said I do it once a week, usually on Saturday and then I test my water in all three tanks on wens day to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be.

you can leave the skimmer on during cycling. live rock in the wet/dry upto the water line with bio balls on top of that will help.
