Well after 3 1/2 years my beloved Red Goniopora may be dying.

It went from a tiny frag.

    To a thriving growing colony.

    And now this.

This has happened very slowly over the past month or so, the polyps slowly opening less and less each day until what you see above. Some polyps actually popping off. I know the first thing everyone will ask, what are your parameters and what has changed. Well literally nothing has change, there was no traumatic event and parameters have remained stable.

    Alk 10.0
    CA 475
    Mg 1300
    No3 2.5
    Po4 . 009
    PH 8.2
    Salinity 1.026
    Temp 78.5

I am at a loss, don't know what to do. There is no way to remove it because it has encrusted onto a large rock, additionally the rock cannot be removed as it id very large and home to other coral. I did also look for brown jelly, which does not appear to be present.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Just want to add kudos for growing the goniopora to such a beautiful piece, I would be really bummed, I think you can turn it around though.

Are any fish resting on the coral like hawks or gobies?

No changes in lighting, I do run carbon and sometimes GFO. I did think originally a fish was bothering it but have seen no evidence of that.. My alk may be a little high but definitely stable, no big swings.
Its definitely my pride and joy, hate to see it go this way

I would double check your alk values and still bring down that value.
