Help me choose an Angelfish

I am nearly finished stocking my 240g FOWLR tank and have only one more fish to go. I am purposely understocking the tank as i want to provide plenty of swimming room for all of my fish. My original plan was to add a Maculosus Angel last but haven't been able to locate one online or locally. Maybe someone can suggest an alternative. I want an angel that is less likely to become belligerent toward smaller fish (click the link to my tank thread below to view my stock list.). I was thinking either an Annularis or a Blueface. Any advice regarding species and size is appreciated!

 

How deep are your pockets? I'm willing to bet you'll see some crazy suggestions on this. lol

 

I think you are right! I would love a scribbled angelfish but $600 is beyond what I can spend at the moment. I would say $350 max.

Of course I have never kept either. All I really know about the large Angels is that can be aggressive.

Alex and Tom seem to know their large Angels.

I like the lamarks angel and goldflake angel (they're beautiful, I saw one in person).

you are so lucky Juice I am just transitioning to fish buying stage and head is spinning.. Hard to make decisions

you can get a scribbled or red sea regal for under 400 shipped. I've had great luck with brett at nicewrasse, or micheal at nyaquatics with higher end fish.

 

Thanks for all of the great advice. I've checked out nycaquatics and was very close to pulling the trigger on the Mac that was for sale, but then decided to keep researching all of the options and now I'm leaning toward the Majestic (Blue-Girdled) Angel. Advantages in my mind are smaller size (relative to other large angels) and more mellow personality. I also love the colors-a beautiful addition for my 240g FOWLR!
