I got a link to a local forum from a fellow Wisconsinite on this one, and we've agreed on that one being neutral territory.

 

Personally make them the same sizes, same lighting, same filtration, stock, final goal etc. Would be the only true way to decide who is better at it.

 

Each of us would have a 20 gallon tall.



We're discussing the rules further now. He likes the idea of having the same setup as far as lights and everything. He was talking about setting up a mutual refugium below the stand but I told him that would kind of defeat the purpose and it was just turn into a "whose fish didn't kill their other fish" contest since they'd be sharing water.

 

honestly this forum has just as many guys as we do gals. its hard to tell because most of us dont use pics or anything to show it. triplemom, and puffer chick are the only two i can name because their names tell us. but they both know more than me and im a guy. so it really doesnt matter. best of luck!

That would be cool... Seeing that haha... Though maybe instead of being competitive it would force you two to cooperate and work on the system together

Wow, I would never want to compete with my boyfriend like that. He knows how strong my passion is for this hobby, and well, we will just leave it at that.
