so within the last two weeks these things started popping up everywhere in the tank and im having a hard time ID'ing them...

my camera sucks so it was complicated to get a good shot of them. i need a better camera with a better zoom and macro lens.

anyways these things are weird. they're all over the sides of my overflow, some certain rocks, and starting on the glass.

    i have retested water params:

    nitrite-0/ppm
    nitrate-0/ppm
    PH 8.4
    calc 480
    alk 11dkh
po4 0.25/ppm (i need to get GFO going, and replace my RO cartridges methinks)

havent added anything to the tank beside a red head fairy wrasse in the last month. the rocks been in place since the start of the tank. i re did the aquascape. ill include a FTS as of today.

as for flow i have two K1's and a mj1200 in there plus the return which is 500gph at the moment.

dang... sweet. I thought they were a bad thing lol. well thats good. my water params have been very stable recently now that i got all my noobish mistakes out of the way (for now).

though tonight i tested and my nitrates are up to 10/ppm on the rise for some reason. i just did a water change 3 days ago so im not sure what the deal is. they were 0/ppm before and after the change.

    feeding hasnt changed either.

anyhow, thanks all for the compliment and above all id'ing those things

Clean all of your equipment out to get rid of detritus accumulating. Make sure you include all lines.

forgot to mention i brought the 'fuge' online at the same time. i think some food made it into there and hasnt been taken care of yet. should i siphon that out of the fuge or leave it to let the bacteria/pods/etc build up down there and take care of it?
