maybe someone can help me out. Im running 2 filters in my 37 gallon tank. Im having a huge problem with the Aquaclear 70 model. It has sucked in 2 Glofish in the past week and killed them. I have it turned down as low as it will go, does anyone know of a way to prevent this, is there a cover that will keep the fish out, or some kind of attachment to help. Please help asap, Ive got 3 other Glo's swimming around. On both occassions I had the xtra pipe attached so it would reach lower in the tank.

you could cover the inlet strainer with a piece of foam wrapped around it
that should prevent fish being dragged in there

but you would need to turn of filter - remove the foam and clean it on a weekly basis otherwise it will become clogged with waste

wow... learn about something new every day... Glo Fish huh?

    Crazy.

I wonder how long before they're in every natural tropical FW waterway in the world... I mean, environmentally it would be a "travesty" just like every other gold fish and cichlid I've seen in non-native water ways... but....

How cool, to have giant schools of florescent fish? Last time I saw a florescent fish it was one of those glass fish kids in Thailand paint with neon waterproof paints and sell to distributors. This is... if not better... much more interesting. The science behind why they were first made is pretty cool too...

Ah, playing God. We all do it, but not all of us make a cool commercially viable life form.

and from the web site, JUST IN CASE you get any ideas....

    .. oh yeah... and foam.

    or fiberglass window screen.
