Hello :)

Hellow Everyone, Names Aquashelle, Or Michelle. I just decided to join 3reef, as it appeared to be a very well done site. I look forward to learning my way around!

A Little about myself and the hobby:

I have two years experience in saltwater, and I currently have a 155 tank with the following occupants:

150 or or lbs of rock
Assorted hermits
Yellow Wrasse
Maroon Clown
Squarespot anthia

I have had many more fish in the tank, but after an ich breakout and the hurricane, I haven't had much time to devote to it. I'm just now working to stock it, after holding off for several months about deciding to switch out the flooring in the fish room (Didn't want to risk many fish deaths) So now that its been done, I'm on my way down the road!

I am ordering some 10k daylight bulbs as well as actinic later this week, for my lights are out, and I'm working to get a sump in the next week or so and get it all put together. I never really spent the time looking into sumps and plumbing, but now I see how beneficial they are, I'm deffinately getting one.

I'm an newbie in many aspects, but when it comes to fish in general, I know a decent amount. I can only hope to learn more!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am up to the camera challenge, if my camera starts cooperating again soon, (Got water in it from Niagara Falls when we were on vacation haha.) But I will wait until I get my lights ordered this week, for my tank is in sad shape currently.. But it'll come around in the next week or two! Until then, I'm simply going to enjoy cruising around the site!

 

Welcome aboard! There certainly is a lot to learn and friendly folks to answer most anything that you can't find with a search.

 

Glad to hear it! Some of the past sites I've visited haven't been as friendly, but this one seems quite welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to really get to know everyone! This hobby simply always gets better!
