    Hey, I been stalking the forums for a while and reading. I love reading new informational things and learning.

    Anyway, I had a salt water tank many years ago that ended in a party catastrophe. Let's just say my friends decided my fish needed to drink with us. I was still learning then and thought I knew quite a bit but in all reality I wasn't ready.

    Currently I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank with two Oscars. Yes, I know that isn't big enough for two really, but they were given to me because the owner was moving a long distance and didn't wish to take them with her. I am probably going to be getting another 55 gallon tank to split up the Oscars and put less of a strain on the tank biology.

    Anyway I have been looking at getting back into Saltwater and getting a nice reef tank built up. I no longer am regularly around drunk people so my reef should do fine by the time I get one. As it is I really don't have the room for any more tanks at my house and I don't want to set up a reef system unless I'm not moving ever again unless it is against my will. I am honestly looking to turn one of my 55s into a reef tank at one point after one of the Oscars kicks the bucket but hopefully that isn't for another 5-10 years as they are currently 5 years old or I settle into buying a larger place.

    I don't usually talk or post much unless I have something I absolutely have to say. Otherwise I sit back and read and watch what everyone else has to say or does.

    Nice to meet you all and finally introduce myself. Hopefully I will be around for many years to come and get to know all of you.

    Welcome to 3reef, buddy! U can trade one of your fish at your LFS and get credit towards other fish or equipment for your reef tank!

    In all honesty I would possibly consider it, however, I really don't have a LFS anywhere close. The closest one is 34+ miles away for a reasonable sized store. I apparently don't live in the greatest area for having a reef so thank goodness there is the internet. I do have a Petco coming in soon to a near by town however I don't consider that a LFS.

    I'm about a hour outside St. Louis, Missouri. :-/
