    Hi all,

I have used the forums here a few times, mostly in emergencies, and I have really liked it. There are a lot of people with amazing tank ideas and many more people with a lot more knowledge than me about corals and I am always wanting to learn more.

I've had my tank set up for over a year now but it is constantly undergoing renovations and improvements. I started out with a 24 gal biocube with a pair of clowns, and lots of live rock covered with fuzzy mushrooms (I got the tank from someone who wanted to get out of the hobby and they just gave me everything that they had). At first my tank was focused on fish but that changed when my clowns died and I haven't been able to talk myself into more critters. So I began focusing on corals.

At first I was just getting my toes wet with some little zoas and a couple green star poylps, then kenya trees and sponges. Nothing too complicated to take care of. Then all of the sudden I had montis and a hammerhead and my tank was getting too small for all the coral and the filtration wasn't enough. This is when the 7 gallon sump got added to the tank.

I was happy with that for a while but I began being able to frag out colonies that were getting big and I realized that I still didn't have enough room. So I just finished adding another 10 gallon frag tank to the set up.

Now I have 3 tanks (total of about 50 gallons or so) all plumbed in the same system (the water circulates through all three of them) and so many different types of corals and so many frags that I have propagated that it makes my head spin.

Long story short, I am not sure if this is now a hobby or a full on addiction. I love it and I am never giving it up. Though I may be tearing all that down and moving to a 55 gallon main tank with 55 gallon sump within a few months ;D

Welcome to 3 reef and congrats on all your success with corals! This is a great site. Full of addicts LOL.....it just sort of creeps up on you and then BOOM, it's a full blown obsession

If you have to ask, it's the addiction. You're just still in the denial stage. ;D

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your set-up. Sounds like you're progressing well.
