    Honestly i still think it doesnt matter, so if its close big deal you have to clean it everynow and then, that comes with the hobby. And if its a lil high off the water and some light is going to waste its not a big deal bc he has 8 t5ho with slrs, in this case im still gonna stick with it doesnt matter

    Thanks...i ended up with my bulbs around 5" up. they seem to stay dry. Havent gotten my SLR's yet but there is already alot of light. I had to turn off two of my 8 bulbs. So im running 2 28W Actinics and 4 85 W HO's (2 white, two blue) over my 75.

    At a height of 5 inches I'm going to hazard a wild screaming guess that your maintenance will be as minimal as can be in this nutty hobby! If you don't have a mist coming off of the surface of your water from wave buckets or sprays or bubbles etc, then you should be good to go!
