    Im pretty sure that he was speaking about the new product that the company was providing as a replacement for the recalled product. It would be a non recalled product which would make it fine to sell.

    I have experienced this issue myself and lost a lot of $. I even was going to give up the hobby...as i lost all my fish. The heater (150W) cracked and dont know if it electricuted the fish or polluted the water. the temp in the tank never went up.

    When i contated the LFS i boutght from they were shocked. Wanted me to contact the manuft and all they did was replace the heater with a new one. I have not used it yet... I really dont want to lose my fish like that. It hurt my pocket and more than anything..it was soooooo sad to see all your fish die like that.

    It took a long time for me to start it all back and yes i am back in the hobby thanks for my supportive wife!

    I was just about to order this and Dr. F&S had it pulled from the website, definitely going another route.

    My marineland Reef Capable LED was also crap both units out of the box had 3 non funcitoning LEDS.
