The cord/plug from the heater in my 40G make up water fell into the container and was probably in there for about a week with about 30g of RO/DI saltmix water.

    Question:
Since the metal prongs on the plug was in the water for a while, do I have to worry about using this water?

30g of RO/DI water and some saltmix is not worth any possible problems, however my make up water container is down in the basement, behind my tank and not easily accessable.

Are the prongs rusted. If so then you probably should replace the water and the heater.

no rust at all, looks like stainless steel. I just wasn't sure if it's possible for stuff like copper to get into the water from the metal.
