    Hey there im having a problem with my red sea max 130 d tank.

    My tank is full of micro bubbles and its really annoying, it seems to be the skimmer thats sending small bubbles into the filter chamber and is blowing them out into the tank. anyone got the same problem??
    if so how do i solve this??

    Also the temp in the tank is quite high and i cant seem to get it to drop, the weather here in scotland is not exactly hot, and the cooling fan (that comes as an add on with the 130d) is on and working.
    Someone told me to turn off the heater, im wondering could it be the heat from the lights thats causing the heat to rise so high??
    Surely red sea would have thought of this??
    and if it was the lights what do i do??

    HELP!!??:confused::confused::(

    Red sea max - did a bit of a google search for you and found out that this was common for a couple of weeks during the breaking in period , many people who are happy with the product did mention this on posts on this and in fact other forums.

    if it goes on beyond that this old thread from this site might help

    http://www.3reef.com/forums/new-hobby/micro-bubbles-43671.html

    adding sponge material after the skimmer outlet to diffuse the bubbles

    heat - it comes for various equipement used on the tank, pumps, filters, lights
    a combination of all these things can increase your tank temp - backing the heater down a notch or 2 is a good idea, where I live the heater only comes on in Jan and goes off in Feb and thats it , 3 weeks use in a 12 month period

    what temp are you running at ?

    hey sorry i know im a little late. I just bought a red sea max 130d and i had the same problem. For the bubbles make sure the teeth of the flood hood are underneath the water. It is ok to turn off the heater. You dont need to turn it on if temperature is right.
