Why not? Hopefully it could help you keep the rest of your fish healthy. Kinda curious from your description too. Very sad, sorry for your loss. They are very cool fish.

Looks like he was being picked on majorly.
Chances are, he just didn't get his satisfactory diet. I know many of them like soft coral polyps.
Also, as hard as it may be to believe in this day and age but sometimes, fish are caught with cyanide and it's just a matter of time till they perish. I'm sorry for your loss. I've never got into dwarf angels myself and I've been tempted many times with the flame and potter.
Maybe try another. I'm waiting to try another clown trigger after mine suddenly died from internal parasites.
