    i have a 29 gal tank with a 10 gal sump im getting alot of green and brown algae on my live rock and sand and tank what would i need for a good clean up crew and what temp should i keep my tank at

    can you give us a breakdown of what equipment you have milo. more so powerheads and lighting and filtration. that will possible help work things out for you.

    i have a 10k two buld coral light i got at my local fish store i have a koralia 1 with wave maker and photocell sensor for my power head on order i have the sump for a filtration and a nitrate reactor

    temperature Milo - somewhere between 78 and 81 F or 24 - 26 C would be ideal IMO
    ( depending what your keeping really as some corals prefer it cooler than the temps given above

    CUC - where are you located ?- you can get custom clean up crews from Reefcleaners check out their site in the sponsor section, they will custom suggest a clean up crew specialy for your set up

    What are your water parameters? (Ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, ph, salinity, temp. anything else?)

    As for flow, you will need more than 1 Koralia 1. I would suggest (2) more K2s, those with the wave maker should liven things up a bit more and can help with your algae issues.

    k thank all my parameters are good my temp is 72 f .when do you now when your cycle is complete

    the cycle is basically considered done, when you have an ammonia and nitrite spike, followed by a ntrate spike and all these levels go to zero.
