    I didn't question this particular critter until reading some aiptasia threads earlier.

    I've never seen any more than that are on this one rock with a zoa colony, probably a dozen or so.

    Can someone assist with an ID?

    I believe thats a Palythoa
    so its a relative of the Zoanthid and not a pest nem

    I killed mine because i didn't like them and wanted to keep the rock. Not a pest, but not very pleasing to the eyes IMHO.

    whew I'm glad it worked out because I was torn because I liked they way they looked but they were oh so similar to some of the pests found in other threads.

    I have a bunch of them, they add variety to your coral, and they came free on my live rock. They spread and reproduce pretty easily.

    I like button polyps too. I haven't found any coral I hate yet...
