    It's 65 bucks and you have to buy a 12 buck solution kit to calibrate it as well.

    If I only have to calibrate it once in a blue moon, and if it is accurate for real, would be worth it to me as I can't read these color coded PH tests.

    I also like the small form factor that would be easy to store.

    If anyone has used one of these, I'd love to hear your experience!

    Thanks

    I had one LIKE that, but different brand a few years ago. The probe dried out VERY easily, and was not all that accurate to begin with. But, marine depot usually doesn't sell "crap" products so this one may be worth your investment. Have you looked at the pinpoint ones? I like those because you can leave it in the tank, and just turn it on whenever you want to get a reading, or with a powersupply you can leave it on all the time. They are definitely more costly though...

    I would get a Milwaukee or Pinpoint for a pH probe if you are looking for a reading that is worth having.

    Yea I got lucky on that upgrade to a Pro. Just wanted to help a friend out and make sure he had a controller for his tank. He is happy with the ACIII and I am really happy with all the new gadgets I can put on this ACIII Pro. :p

    I agree, go big! I only have a aquacontoller JR, but I now wish i would have went with the 3.... If you don't go big from the start, it costs you in the long run.

    Awww, your such a martyr!::);D

    Karma for that one! That is the reason I don't have a lot of things for my tank yet, including a controller: buy quality from the get go! I don't have much for my 55 so far, but what I do have is high quality!

    The PinPoint PH Monitor(PP) is only $85, if you compare that with the one that you mentioned $65 + $12 = $77 not much of a difference there. I had a PP and it was great to see what your PH is at any time, real time. It will last about 1-2 months on a single batt. or you can buy the a/c adaptor for it. Only drawback is that if you keep it running 24/7, you have to calibrate it every 6 months to be in tip-top shape. Or as mentioned by the others, you can get a controller, which most(if not all) come with a PH and temp. probe. If your not planning on getting Ca Reactors and all those "high tech" expensive equipment, the AC-jr is AWESOME. Luna
