That stuff looks pretty interesting. The way its packaged almost looks like some sort of medical serum.... :)

yeah I am really impressed with the packaging. It definately looks the part. I will be interested to see how big a difference it makes to my tank. I will wait till I am about half way through the the 12 vials before I judge that though.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread. Still using it? What's your verdict?

I'm interested as well. I see that you temporarily shut down the skimmer, but what about my gfo reactor? Can I still run gfo if I use the biodigest?

No personal experience, but from what I've been reading they say it's at best unnecessary/$ wasteful to run GFO alongside prodibio, or at worst detrimental.

The people who say it's detrimental claim that prodibio bacteria strains need some PO4 to remove NO3, and if GFO strips PO4, bacteria does not work as effectively.

Kinda makes sense... I have been battling gha for a while and just recently (about a month) started running gfo. I like the idea of the biodigest instead if it works!

Yeah still using it. I am using Biodigest and Bioptim. Not sure I get to it every 15 days though. It is hard to tell how well this product really works, since you can't really isolate its effects alone.

I am quite happy to keep using it as the first time I started to use it, I had loads of cyano etc and now I have none and all my coral are doing very well apart from some die off I have started to have over the last few days.

I would recommend using it. I would also like to expand and use some more of their products to see what effects it might have.

I use Prodibio in conjunction with GFO and Biopellets. I like to think that its a combined attack that best beats algae.

If you effectively use GFO, you would never completely strip PO4 from the water. If you have absolutely 0.00 PO4 with a hanna checker, you should decrease the amount of GFO you use. It is detrimental to coral to have 0.00 PO4 as it is a necessary trace element, but most reef tanks just have far to much. Therefore if you use GFO correctly, there should always be some PO4 for the prodibio products to continue to work effectively in conjunction with GFO.
