ok so 75gal display, 25gal sump.
    PH 8.1
    ammonia 0-.025
    Nitrite-0
    Nitrate-0
    KH-8
    Cal over/around 520
    phos-0

So brain and hammer looked good for a while when i first put them in, after a week the hammer started to get smaller, then eventually sucked all the way in. The lobos skeleton just started to deteriorate and lost all its color. My gsp are doing ok, but don't look as good as they did in the last tank.

They came from a tank with par38 leds to my ****ty 4 bulb t5 setup. I am going to say the odessea t5 light just does not have enough power for these corals because everything else in the tank is perfect.

    any other ideas?

my shrimp and hermits and snails are still alive so i don't think their is any copper in the tank. I have never treated for it.

I am assuming you have water changes up to date.... no exhausted carbon or other media?
did you try moving the affected corals to the top for most light?...clean bulbs? reflectors? just a few things... : )

The light fixture itself is less then 5 months old. came with bulbs. this is what i am thinking is the problem. crappy bulbs. Just recently put carbon in. And you can see the parameters i listed them all they are all good. salinity is always 1.025 i have an ato unit.

What test kits? Have you checked your results with another brand of test kits? Take water to LFS maybe? Both of the corals you listed are "lower light" capable corals, so I agree it is most likely not a lighting issue, crappy Odyssea lamps aside. If you do go with new light bulbs, replace 2 at a time...what I mean is only put 2 in for the first week or so, then replace the remaining two. High Output bulbs can do more harm with light shock than you think. It could be that the current 4 bulb fixture is actually putting out MORE light than your PAR 38. Remember, don't change things too fast. Give time for the change to have a factor.

Well it was a friend had a 15gal coral grow out tank. 2 par 38 bulbs over it. His corals grew amazing. He never tested his water or anything. Just ran it. No fish tho just corals and a few snails. And both test kits i have(salt water and reef test kits) api test kits. are only about 4 months old. And i get the same results from the fish store when i bring my water in so they are pretty accurate.

the toadstool is still alive? i guess? i mean every few days a little of it molts off and a polyp or 2 of green will peak out. but for the most its closed up. and the stalk? is kind of wrinkly but it still looks alive. The green star polyps come out every day but are just not as full looking as they used to be. May be a current issue? but i have an led fixture coming today hopefully. So maybe this will help. will take some updated pics tonight.
