Have a question on a gyre pump placement. I am building a 40B peninsula system and want to put the gyre head at the end against wall. However, that is also where my overflow will be. I'm wondering if anyone out there has put the gyre a little deeper in the tank (approx 6" +/-) and how it affects the surface agitation. I really don't want to place it vertically on the side.
I know that every tank is different and placement of the rock will affect the overall flow, I'm just hoping that if it a bit lower but pointed up a tad that I will still get the surface movement and flow across the entire tank.
