Men are going to be Men, we are just not as evolved, there are women in my life that I crushed on when we first met and now we are friends and I think of them as friends, but that is not to say that could change in a second. Women will say, oh, that would be weird, or things would never be the same if something happend between us, see Men, we just don't think about that:). I don't think that if you are friends with the guy that everything he does is going to be him trying to hook up with you, but at the same time he will never turn down the chance to be with you for any reason other than one of you are in a relationship. If he thinks you are beautiful and is attracted to you now, he probibly always will to some extent no matter what.

Remember "Dumb and Dumber"?? "what are the chances of a girl like you ending up with a man like me"? "Oh, I would say one in a Million"... YES THERE IS A CHANCE!

i did not read any of the posts, only the OP. pull the trigger, tell him your not interested in him and that the situation is making you uncomfortable(which are both true). im sure he doesnt want to creep you out so he will back off. i know i really needed to be told that so that i would give my current `wifey`of 9 years some space, but after after all, she ended up with me when she realized i was a good guy. so it may work out for him in the end. Good Luck!

I didn't have time to read this whole thread, and I really hope this was already said somewhere. If not than here it is. From what you've said, your telling him that you are not worth it for him. All this is doing from his point of view is saying that you have self esteem issues that if he can help you with you will date him. You just need to tell him the truth. It's not you, it's men. You can't make someone believe that what they see isn't what's there.

I'm confused as well. As some one that deals with depression, meds, and a new relationship I would say your blowing this wayyyyy out of proportion. I think part of you likes him, but part of you likes a different type and you think he is just not your type. Well we never really know how things are going to work out in life and I'd say that it probably would not hurt you to have a nice friend and some one to talk to. Seeing as you are willing to open up to him some times, and do think he's a nice guy why not take advantage of having some one that is willing to listen. I think what you need to make clear to him is that you don't like being hit on in such a direct manor and it makes you uncomfortable, so if your going to be friends than he needs to respect what you say as a friend and stop that. I think you should give him a little more credit that maybe it's not going to be so bad for him to just be friends, thorough depression I've learned I'd rather be friends with some one that I like than not have a friend at all and not know a thing about them, but it is crucial that he respects you enough to listen to what you say and stop hitting on you directly.

reading this thread reminds me of when I had to break it off with Megan and tell her that Brian Austin Green was a better match for her, I felt badly because she was nice, but I knew Brian was her soul mate & he was on 90210 so how could I ever compete :(.

moral of the story is that it's better to be feared than loved, fear lasts longer than love, so maybe attack him with a chair, he will leave you alone after that, but you may see him in court still.

just be glad you're not a hand model, they have real stalkers :)

Going to have to agree with Coralline here.
Texting him at all hours of the night with him being the one calling it a night definitely does not help. Beating around the bush to you is nicely trying to get your point across, to him it is playful.
