My green star polyps was my first coral over a year ago. they only cover the frag disk that i bought them on. Everything else i have (coral wise) is growing like crazy. my Zoas have tripled thems selfs many times over LPS grown new heads all the time, SPS growning great. The only thing that isnt grown is my GSP. Whats the trick?

Yeah.....I was wondering the same thing. My other corals are doing nicely. My GSP is getting thicker, but is not growing outward. Hmmmmmmm.

Hmmm. My GSP's are growing like mad. Have to frag them every other month or sooner ;)
Give them as much light as possible and lots of flow. Thats about the area mine are in. Try moving them around. when they are happy, they will first get thicker, than grow out. At least thats what mine did. Then the edges of the mat turn white, and the mat will kinda look like toothpaste spilling out. Thats when the mat is growing.

Wow, I thought they would grow just about anywhere. I recently had some that I covered up completely with a rock and within a month or so it has gown out to about 3 inches square again. I would love to get them away from my SPS.

If everything else is growing good and they are not. I would say flow and light are the biggest factors left for lacking growth. Move them to medium flow and more light if possible.

Mines don't stop growing! When I got it, a small piece of the mat was coming off and I cut it off and glued it to a small piece of base rock and I'm just amazed at how the rock is nearly completely covered. The mother colony rock was completely covered again so I fragged it last night. Besides good water parameters, all I do is feed Dr. G's Natural Phytoplankton in the tank......don't know if that's helping in growth though LOL!
