This maybe a dumb question but do I have to have coraline growing for my zoos and other corals to attach to my LR? I have seen all my corals double in size and my frogspawn has 5 tiny heads around the bottom growing. How do these guys actually attach to the LR? Is it still too early?

they don't attach to the rock - they will split and create more "branches" with heads.
Frogspawn's are one of my favs :)

I figured the frogspawn would just grow a branch but what about acans, zoos, lobos, rics, sun polyps

Ever watch cells divide under a microscope or in a text book? Not totally dissimilar to what's going on with soft corals. Zoas will just keep budding off the base of a mature head with a "baby" head that starts small but quickly grows to adult size and is in turn capable of spawning off "baby" heads.

Mushrooms have a few ways they seem to replicate. One way I have seen is for the mushroom to "move" from it's original "foot" leaving the "foot" behind and the "foot" becomes a new mushroom! For other mushrooms they seem to form a cleavage line and they will form a new mouth on the other side of that line and over the course of a week or two will progressively develop and eventually dislodge from the "mother" mushroom to become it's own organism!

Frogspawns typically will just branch as stated.

most lps will expand by creating a skeleton - zoa's grow from a mat like gsp's then fall off to create a new colony - soft corals expand and will fuse to a rock or rubble
