I have had my tank set up for several years. Throughout the years I have had many type of corals. Simple as star polyps to not so simple sometimes like hammer or frog spawn. I have also noticed slow growth. Am I just impatient or does this stuff take some time to grow? It seems as though something is missing to excel the growth. I mean, it grows, but at a slow rate. I have recently neglected my water changes, but on track with them again. All my parms are good except for my nitrates here lately. My frog spawn always looks great. I am feeding frozen brine/marine mix at night and flakes for my fish. What should I be feeding? Most of my tank is happy, but just not flourishing.

Growth is dependent on many factors. The right kind of light, nutrients present and proper water parameters. LPS can be fed a couple of times per week but it is not necessary. They will grow faster if you do. Softies are the same way.

Your tank looks like it is flourishing to me.

Please list your parameters, you may have some off that we can advise you on fixing that may help.

I suspect a balance issue with the big 3 (Alk, Ca, Mg) as I see no coralline growth (which I'd expect in an established tank).

What do you strive to maintain these levels at?

+1 several years and being setup, but almost no coralline algae suggests something isnt right.

yikes ya your whole back glass should be covered in coralline by this point, mine was in only 6 months! also your corals should have taken over the tank by this time. are you feeding the corals? aside from fish poop of course.

High nitrates will stunt coral growth and also coralline growth.
