Grounding probe?

    Wherever, just make sure there's a brand attached to it - not like the eBay unbranded stuff.

    As for DIY, a titanium (or other non-corroding, non-dangerous, and conducive) rod, and matching wire (aluminum and copper don't cut it) and solder, aren't exactly the kind of thing you get a local hardware store.

    yes raven i know i have connections for metal so i did my research and have it sitting here cuz my tank is not up yet

    I'm just mentioning that it's easier for the vast majority of people to just buy a probe than go through the hassle of finding such specialized materials for a project that will only be done once.

    In addition to your ground probe make sure all your aquarium equipment is plugged into a GFCI receptacle...

    It sure is! I'm not having any stray voltage, just don't want it become an issue in the future
