    hello everyone!
im jesse, im a filipino working in thailand. it took a lot of guts for me to finally try a saltwater tank. it has been my dreams for the past 5 years since i first attempted it with zero knowledge (it was a huge failure). im on a slow learning process right now, with some luck and some erros along the way, but im in this all the way. no turning back now!

if there's anyone out there reisiding in thailand as well, please give me a bump. im dying to have a buddy to share this hobby with. or if you are a fellow filipino, ill be more than glad to get acquainted.

ive been posting here for about a month now and it's definitely a place to call home. such friendly and helpful people, nice community. keep up the great work here 3reefers!

also if you guys happen to have a 10g nano tank, give me big bump! i need people whom i can relate to very well.

    big thanks to all!
    Jesse

    Welcome Jesse!!!!
Its hard at first to get started into saltwater, i know. We have all been in that same boat before. I tried once in the past and it was a complete failure, Tank lasted a month and then everything dead.
But you will learn alot from these people, they are very helpful.
I have had my system up and running for over a year now with several diffrent species of fish, inverts, corals and i couldnt have done it without all the usefull advice found on this website.

Sawatdee! (I think(?)) That's cool. one of my uncles does a lot of business in Thailand and I would like to go/live their one day after I get married. What is the aquarium trade like there?

best wishes! when are you getting married? going here for a honeymoon is a great idea if you enjoy shopping, going to beach resorts and engaging in their culture. but if you decide to live here, be prepared to learn their language if you plan on going full-blast on saltwater hobby. I really cant speak much of their language but enough to make a few bargains. so you're gonna have to depend on your own knowledge as most of them cant speak english. i only know one spot where a bunch of fish stores are crammed up. its quite far and usually open only on weekends( its a weekend market). supplies are not as available as what you find online. if youre lucky to find them they are probably sold above average price range. all in all i'd say its quite difficult for a beginner, i dont know bout advanced aquarists like you perhaps. good luck!
