    pull it out then use a tooth brush to brush the rocks off...concider aa water change after.are you using ro di water?

    and yup Im using ro-di water, Should I do all this plugging out and brushing process after I take the rock out? or in the tank

    Take the rock out of the tank & brush with a toothbrush. Pull clumps of GHA from sand bed with hands. Any floating debris can be gotten with a net. I would say to go with your regular CUC. Then do your WC.
