Update! Decided it was too long so here is a sum up!

Tore down my 10 gallon because its been neglected while I've been gone at college.

Bought a new pico to set up in my dorm room, roughly 3.5 gallons. Rimless, curved front corners.

Saved all equipment from the 10 gallons to be used on this pico. Boostled Par30, Aquaclear 50 modified, Hydor 25w heater, DIY ATO with Aqualifter.

    ----------------------------

So that up there was the sum up from when this was first started.

The update? I got it all set up, all it needs is a few more things. RO bucket, a small fan, rocks, water, livestock.

    Now some pictures!

As you can see the label says Aqua H2O

Float Switch placed, heater is in the Aquaclear. Don't know how to put the filter floss in yet. Right now I just have it against the left side of filter, but that has always caused some overflow.

Lovely wiring job.. I need to get a cubby or something nice looking to put it all in. It's kind of an eye sore. Gets the job done though, avoiding any electrical shock.

Aqualifter located behind the head board of the bed, a RO bucket will either fit in that space or go under the bed. I'm thinking 10 gallons should last me a good while.

That's all the pictures I have for now! Only question is is about the lamp. I have the Par30 in it and worried about it overheating. So I thought I would drill a few holes in the back of the shade and place a small fan to blow air in when the light is on. Thoughts? I like the fixture, I don't want to clamp anything else to the tank walls and the shade does not come off..

Another question is about flow. The Aquaclear 50 has it's original propeller in it so should that be enough flow for anything?

Livestock updates- I'm leaning towards a yasha or yasha/pistol combo, but I do like Coral Crouchers.. Haha They are very cute and also small and don't do a lot of moving.

Haha how did I know you would be the first post? Want a picture of a tank full of equipment? ::) There isn't a lot of movement, flow is 0 gph, everything seems to work if I plug them in. Haha

Wish seahorses weren't so difficult because I think the tank would look great with a pair and some marcos. I need something to keep me calm and relaxed while here in college. Haha

This build will take a little longer before water is in the tank.

My reasoning... I'm going to work on getting a Reefkeeper Lite to run the light, heater, filter, and ato. As well as I need a box/contain for the wiring to run to, some airline hose for the ATO, and a RO container.

Just to be sure, I will need to buy the SL1 Module as well as the basic Reefkeeper Lite, right? As well as the ATO kit for it.
