Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but yellow headed sleeper gobies need large tanks with very mature sand beds to live (they need to eat the bugs out of the sand). I've never been able to keep one alive longer than 6 months :(

    From Liveaquaria:

"To be successfully cared for, it should be housed in a 50 gallon or larger aquarium with live sand as the substrate, and an attached populated refugium. A well-sealed canopy should be provided. It rarely will become aggressive towards other fish, but is territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair. "

Be prepared to have to feed it a lot of meaty foods since it will quickly deplete all of the bugs in your sandbed. Then be prepared to deal with water quality issues from feeding so much frozen foods. The only thing I didn't like about this fish, besides my inability to keep them alive, was the fact that they dumped sand all over my corals and rock. It's the nature of the beast :)

Flakes don't have enough nutrition in them to sustain a fish like that so make sure that you also give it meaty foods as was suggested in the information I posted from Live Aquaria.

    From LiveAquaria:

"The Sleeper Gold Head Goby feeds on a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, live black worms, and prepared foods for carnivores, and should be fed frequently."

No, what she is saying is either return it or buy frozen food now because flakes aren't worth a crap long term.
