    I got mine on Craigslist for 100 all I did was paint my stand I did it with house paint so everything matches

    Nothing wrong with the tanks at petsmart. If you drill your own holes, it will cost you $10 and you can do a 3 hole beananimal setup. An overflow is also cheap to build. Tanks pre-drilled are usually way overpriced from what I've seen. That's unless you got a huge tank that is tempered glass if they sell one - which couldn't be drilled. Also, petco is usually much cheaper with their $1 per gallon sale though.

    I've seen nice finish stands and tanks on craigslist all the time too. Usually the people with them are asking way too much though...

    I agree though. The fact that they didn't recomend a RR tank was not necessarily a bad thing. Personally, I see RR tanks as a waste of money. Glass can be drilled easily & the RR's are not very well planned out when it comes to functionality. The placement of the OF line & return, right next to each other is counter productive...to be most productive, the OF & return lines should be on opposite ends of the tank, to cycle the water throughout the system, appropriately.

    Your best bet would be to buy a non tempered or non drilled tank & drill it yourself. Most cost effective & made to your likings.
