    Looks nice Tom. Looks like you are getting a few diatoms on your LR, its nothing to be worried about it happens with every new tank.

    True Bama hooked me up Good..Bythe ways looking at the picture can you tell me exactly where you see the diatom on the LR is it the puple or orange substance and what shold I do to correct it Thanks:eek:

    Diatoms are the orangish brownish growth. These commonly form from the release of silicates brought into the system from new plastic (powerheads, filters, ect) when the silicates dissipate so will the diatoms, patience grasshopper ;)

    nope. diatoms are nothing to worry about. They go away. The 1st month of a tank is the most stressful. Its when things are coming to life, no worries at all..
