Hey guys, I have a friend who is selling a 330g acrylic tank. It is 1 inch thick acrylic and has a stable support bar secured by screws.
Im getting the friend discount so the tank is $400 for me. As I have never had acrylic before, what are some things to look for with acrylic tanks while inspecting it?
What are your opinions on the price and tank?

Yes, that's a good price. How bad are the scratches? Bowing?

there is zero bowing (which is what i expect with 1" acrylic) and the scratches are minimal... only one noticeable one at the bottom on the outside of the back pane.
The front and two sides barely have any scratches at all

Look for bubbles and cracks in and around the seems. That seems like an excellent price.

    Alright thank you!
And one more question: for some weird reason the previous owner drilled it in the bottom corner! This is just about the worst place to drill IMO. Anyways, I guess my choices are 1. Weld on a piece inside to block it off. 2. Just build an over flow out of it. 3. Put in a bulkhead and just Plug it. What would you do?

I hope it is drilled on the back side, right?! If not, I would plug it with something and drill as many holes as necessary for a reef tank with the herbie overflow in mind.

 I love it. I'll totally be looking out for a 300g reef build. :)

im thinking ill just build a large coast to coast overflow... that way it can double as a frag station and as an overflow

could use the hole in the side right corner and make it a 3 side view tank, with overflow on side of tank.
