Long story short, I'm considering upgrading to a 120g from a 75g. My LFS has a used 200g glass on a stand and canopy, with a 75 for a sump.
No lights, plumbing, hardware, etc. for $800.00 I would have to outfit the rest myself, and I'm OK with that. Is this a good price for a used tank???

I've seen great deals on craigslist. Try checking there first.

Definitely start with craigslist. The LFS is trying to make money so you maybe paying more than it is worth. Look up the price of a new setup like the one at the LFS.

one other thing to take into consideration, is the tank drilled? i know that adds a whole lot of extra bucks if it is. the stands can be quite expensive too. but i do agree that lfs's are obviously into making money , as it should be. but if the tanks drilled, and a well made stand and canopy , might not be that bad of a deal.

Thanks all, as usual a lot of good advice, LFS is willing to finish off the bottom of the stand to enclose it, use to be in the wall. And the tank is drilled too. Still seems a little pricey, I really only wanted to upgrade to a 120g, but if this was a GREAT deal, did not want to let it pass me by....not in a rush, think I'll keep looking for a 120....
