Red Sea all the way! A little more pricey but alot better than I/O IMO!

What about Red Sea do you like better than Instant Ocean?

Whenever i use d I/o in my tank, things seemed to close up, lose color and well, DIE. I first set my tank up with Red Sea, all my "First" corals did AWESOME! Tripled in size (they were all softies) and had colors like fireworks. Then i heard that I/O is supposedly the best. So i bought a 50gallon bag. Then everything went downhill. I My Xenia died. leather stopped extending in the AM....and zoas just turned brown. I now switched back and my leather has tripled in size. And my Zoas are making a comeback.

Maybe it was just a bad batch, or something else. But the people in my local reef club, and a member who is near me, swear by Red Sea and i do too. Plus, my local petco sells 60 gallon bags for 16 bux, cause they stopped carrying it and never updated prices with inflation XD

I use the tropic marin pro reef salt. I have it in use on 4 tanks and always great results and crystal clear water, they claim its nearly impossible to distinguish between it and natural seawater.

Thanks for the info! I might try to test some salts myself, now that tangster mentions it. I will do two separate tests, and post the results after I'm done if anyone is interested!
