    2.2 is already out. Legit, you just have to do an OTA software update. With 2.2 my battery life decreased.

    I'll wait for the push out from Verizon instead of downloading it from a site. Not in that big of a hurry for it.

    No, this is from Verizon, not a website. You have to go into your software update on the phone itself and check for updates. If it says it's disabled you have to go into your data settings and disable sync over wireless only, pull your battery, then check for updates again. I got 2.2 a couple days ago on the X, from Verizon.

    I have and love my X. It is power hungry, but i can get two days off it,if i stay off the net. Can't get it to update to 2.2 though...

    Root it!!! best thing I ever did to my android phone. I have run about 10 different ROMs. I do enjoy the 2.2 ROMS better than any of the 2.1 versions. But some of the 2.1 versions are very stable whereas the froyo ones can still have a few bugs. All in all my phone pretty much runs perfect, super fast, super customizable and good battery life now

    get launcher pro, it is worth the few bux just for the scrolling contacts on your home screen. check it out. changes the whole look and feel of the phone. as for other apps, the top rated in the market are good. photobucket app is a must. setup your acct, and upload straight form phone.

    2.2 broke exchange support on my moto droid waiting for verizon iphone in january hopefully love the droid but the support is horrible from moto

    I love my Evo! The market always has some cool stuff in the free section. I love the flashlight and volume control apps.
