Hey Dragon how did he behave with the CUC any lost hermit crabs or snails?

 

Nope dint even go for the shrimp I Gould hand feed him the only reason I lost him was when we went out of town and had a five day power outage huh I miss him but he was my favorite eel ever I'll post pics when I can figure out how to email the pics from my old fphone

 

Big day is tomorrow! Both eels will be arriving via UPS morning delivery. I will post pics once they arrive.

On a related note, I already have a mesh top (used to have a bunch of wrasses) that easily pulls off. What should I do to weight it down to prevent jumping and possibly them knocking it out of the tank frame? It's only made of screen door framing and mesh.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them and how much did you pay?

 

I know a diver in Hawaii that is able to locate these on a fairly regular basis. They are straight from the source. And for the pair shipped to my house was $285.

You shouldn't have to weigh done your top esp since they are small. They won't be that strong they will only accidents jump if they get scarred they won't plot an escape so u should be ok.

I will also let you know that pairs are pretty rare...he said he doesn't come by ones that he catches together very often.

Thanks for the input. I am also planning on purchasing a bunch of plastic ramekins from my work and pre portioning a bunch of shrimp, crab, mussels, etc. and freezing them so I have portions ready to go.

I figured this was a smoking deal and I have been on the look out for a very specific coloring for about 5 months now. This is even better! ;D
