so i am going to hampton beach from albany ny. Not sure of the route i am going to take but does anyone know of any good fish stores i should stop at along the way?

Deff going deep sea fishing when i get out there. Going to be caming for 3 nights i believe at the end of this month.

Map quest says quickest route is I-90 to I-295 to I-495 to I-95 going through Massachusetts.

I-90 goes directly to 495 :) Although you can use I-290 to get to 495 which will save a little toll money, but lose a little time. Plan your timing right, as driving North on 495 can be a nightmare depending on day/time.

If you do go I-90 to 495 direct, you can actually skip that exit, and take the next to get on Rt 9. Head East towards Boston for maybe 1.5 miles and on your right is Tropic Isle in Framingham. We go there at least once every couple of weeks. They have a very good selection of equipment, tanks, saltwater, brackish water, and freshwater fish. Also have a decent selection of corals. Their main downfall is customer service though. The employees working the tanks are all nice, but the owner, his wife, and the cashier are not the most pleasant ;)

I would recommend stopping in if they are open. Should only be a 20 minute detour (well plus an hour browsing the store!).

I will be on the go as well. Taking my 13 year old son on a dive trip to Key Largo. Molassas Reef, here we come!
