    How often do you clean the salt creep off?

    Saltcreep has to affect how much light goes through

    Never - I don't use them. Glass covers keep heat in, hamper gas exchange & get all covered with salt creep.

    I don't use them either.

    - They keep heat in

    - They keep light out

    - The inhibit oxygen transfer

    - You have to keep them clean

    Better to use a decent sized mesh on a frame to keep fish in.

    I can't figure out how to make one for a bow front and I have fire fish so I can't go with out
