It's a matter of preference and how much work you want to do moving it.
Acrylic is way lighter than glass, is stronger than glass but scratches a lot easier than glass.

Glass is easier to care for and does not scratch as easily. On the other hand acrylic is more clear but then again you could go Starphire glass too.
    Glass still wins for me.

I really really wanted acrylic. However acrylic is so much harder to care for as it scratches so easy and then it looks bad!

I was also told something else about acrylic recently......because of the braces used on the top of the tank, you void your warrenty of the tank with many MH's.

I can imagine, I use a acrylic top on a fresh water tank, even the small amount of heat from a single regular t5 caused it to warp badly.

Acrylic is also a great insulator, which is terrible if you run halides. When just my sump was acrylic, my chiller ran a lot more than it does today; now that I've changed to a glass 20G Long sump. The heat can escape through glass, where it's held in by acrylic.

    I'll stick with glass.
