Glass Holes overflow kit?

would i be able to put a durso in one of these? its only 2" from front to back for the 700gph model im looking at. all i would do is put an elbo in it pointing down and have the accuall durso outside the tank. anyone have experience with gl*******s overflow kits?

 

I got a 700g from them. That sounds like a tight fit. You should email them. They're very good about returning emails.

 

Why would you want to put a Durso in there? These overflows are very quiet by design. The bulkhead on the 700 is 1.5" - you'd never fit an elbow in there.

 

just get it, you wont be unhappy. they are quiet as is. Im sure if you do want one to fit a durso they will custom make you one.. they custom cut the hole for mine according to the depth I wanted it at. Nice guys to deal with for sure.. Plus you get candy with every order.

 

awesome thanks a bunch but just wondering but if i put a durso in without the elbo would that make any difference? this setup is in my room so quietness is an absoulute must.

 

mine never made noise unless I ran my pump at full blast, which was a mag 9.5 so I think I was close to the 700 gph limit.. Even then it was an occasional slurp, which was never bad.

i just found this overflow and i really like it, its the same thing as the glass holes one but with two bulkheads and more than half the price with 2x the flow
