glass breaking?

    Styrofoam should not be used on a tank with trim. On flat bottoms are fine. You run the risk of the edge sinking into the foam and now you'll get pressure pushing upward in the glass bottom from the foam.

    I wouldn't be concerned about tempered glass cracking as much as the seams failing. They are the weaker link in that chain. I know this from living in earthquake country. The tank can go banging around on the stand and not break. It's usually the front panel that slides right off.... intact..... well I guess until it hits the floor.

    I have to admit to some CRAZY unstable setups over the years. Many of my tanks were on furniture and hanging over edges. I never had one crack.

    Is a picture possible.
