Some of you might remember that nano build thread I had a while back, I kinda lost interest in it after I got a complete 90 gallon setup in a trade. I posted a laptop for sale on craigslist and said I might trade it for a nice full setup and some guy found me and made the offer.

After the 90 was all up and running, I decided to sell the nano to fund that 180 fowlr I have had my heart set on for quite some time. Even had a 180 in the shed waiting for some love. I put in the for sale ad that I might consider trading for larger saltwater aquarium equipment, and another person finds me and offers up a complete beautiful 180 reef tank with lights, skimmer, live rock, bunch of corals, couple fish . . . EVERYTHING.

So long story short I went from a 125, sold everything and moved into a custom 25 gallon, then got the 90 and transferred everything from the 25 over, then traded the 25 gallon for the 180 setup and moved everything from the 90 over .... all in under 3 months.

think I might leave out the trade option when I'm selling the 90, my back cant handle much more of this.

Haha that is a lot of upgrading (and one downgrading!). You really lucked out that the guy wanting the laptop also had a 90 gallon set up. Congrats on your now 125!

Crazy sequence of events, congrats on the horse trading and upgrading. You will need to post pics or no one will believe it happened.

Were all of these straight up trades? Sounds like you did pretty good.

The only other things I put up on my end was my gas and my time. For the 180 I used my truck and a friends so I had double the gas on that one . . . Still peanuts for what I was getting. I guess it was more luck and good timing than anything, the laptop guy just had his stolen and was moving back home where his parents diddnt want the tank. The 180 came from a really nice woman looking to downsize due to a back injury.

Ill get some pics up in a while, after I get everything placed how I like it.

Lol @ blue pen and coffee maker . . .
