We have a 45g rect. for a young Atlantic (porcupine) puffer. Tank is setup with LR, and about to get plenum/substrate. Puffer is in QT for now.

I need some creative recommendations for this new setup. As far as other fish, corals, etc. that will all get along, and look really cool.

As far as I know, off-limits are inverts in general, unless you know of something a puffer wont bother.

together in a 45g? I can't upgrade the tank size for about 14 months, so I hope groupers don't get very big.

*edit - ok, MarineCenter says medium is about 4" so that wouldn't be that bad.

Dwarf Angel wouldn't be a bad idea, I've always wanted a Flame Angel. One of the tank mates is already going to be a maroon clown. They seem to hold their own pretty well, and he's been in QT with the Puffer for about a week now.

I have a grouper in a 150 and the tank is to small for him lol, him and the dogface puffer get along great though, Also have a tank with a yellow tang and puffer, triggers seem to pick at their fins and then WW 3 breaks out and the crap hits the fan and you end up with 1 or 2 dead fish

I'm not very familiar with the atlantic puffer though, just dog faces, Good Luck with him
