    i was wondering what name brands everyone is using for GFO. i know i can get it from bfs.

    I buy mine from Bulk Reef Supply. It is much cheaper overall than buying commercial branded GFO.

    My understanding is most of it is Adedge Technologies Bayoxide E33 regardless of the brand name. There may be some variations, but still most is a form of Bayoxide media. I usually just get mine from BRS and it seems to work well and is reasonably priced.

    I'm using RowaPhos right now... will be switching to BRS soon. I forget the exact numbers but RowaPhos is something like 3-4x as much money per lb. Even with shipping being fairly high to Canada, it's still a lot cheaper.
