Waiting on rodi... day 2. Filling my 125, guess I should get used to this waiting thing in this hobby. That is my gripe today, but I'm still stoked I have water in. I've been waiting forever putting this together!

The biggest I've filled to date is 120 total gallons volume. I know how bad it sucks waiting for the ro/di to get the job done. LOL

You can cheat like I did on the next build. Buy distilled from Sams by the case. I did about half and half on a 75 with 40B sump.

I could but just bought the spectra pure may as well let it do the job kinda wishing I'd got the 180gpd though instead of 90. I will say I can literally see a difference in the water though so I'm happy.

There is a trick to help during the winter months. Buy a 25 or 50 foot roll of tubing place it in a 5 gallon bucket of water with a heater set at 77 or a little higher. This will get you to full flow and filtration capacity since the temperature is the optimal for filtration.

77 degrees is not the optimal for filtration. It is the baseline standard they use to calculate the 75 GPD or whatever the membrane is.
Actually colder water treats better and will produce lower RO only TDS so your DI will last longer and work better. May take a little longer but you get better water.

Good to know I've been running it cold thus far. I can tell my water is dirty the first chamber looks like someone took a dump on the filter media.
