I know I sorta asked before but is there away to make rock or dead coral that was in a tank that may have had copper used in it. It was 5-10 years ago but?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would first soak the corals in some sw and test for copper to see if there is even an issue, but yes there are products that report to remove residual copper.

Cuprisorb just helps remove copper that has already leeched into the water column. It will not remove the copper from the rocks any faster nor is it safe to stock the tank while using it. As stated you should first soak everything then test. If it test positive your best bet in all honesty would probably be to toss it out. The best way is to run aggressive ozone scrubbing but that will be very expensive unless that was already part of the planned set up.

I used a poly filter from polybio marine. It is a medical pad that removes everything from the water.

Cuprisorb can be run with the rock in a container of water and will continue to remove trace amounts of copper below what your test kit can read. It can take months before it may be safe to use, and as with everything there is a risk. It may be better to toss the rock, but in my experience, it is possible to remove the copper.

well maybe not..not long ago on here there was a thread about it, i didnt the whole thread and this may sound weird i had a few drinks with the lady at dinner and alot of respectable people on here were talking and they were saying that the copper wouldnt leak out enough to hurt things..it might leak out it might not and it would usually be such a small amount..maybe try and search around..i think corailline was talking about it, maybe not, but maybe try and do a google search..ill tell you this, i have a friend that started a reef tank and accidentally used a large dose of copper products and he now has a tank packed with thriving everthing..so not sure what to say what you should do, but people have gotten away with using rock, tanks, and other equipments that have been used during copper dosing and have thriving reef tanks..maybe just put a piece in rodi 0tds water and let it soak like everyone said and see what happens..cant hurt to try
