Sorry for your loss man. That sucks. Maybe get a controller for your tank and a waterbug wet floor sensor so it can alert you if the floor is wet. Also get a high water level sump float valve that can trigger an alarm.

Phil, when you're tank is ready again I can send you some frags. I'm sure others here will do the same to get you up and running again. Let us know when you're ready.

Really sorry to hear about your tank, and your mother. I know she'll keep fighting, and I hope she gets better soon. My thoughts are with you at this time. Best wishes!

dude, I'm so sorry to hear about this mishap. I'm in the process of dealing with Ich infested fish right now and I don't know what to do next. I feel for you man. I had a tank crash on me once and now it's the second time coming.
All I can say dude, is that reef keeing is not for the light hearted. Today I was about to take a hammer and smash the glass of my DT when I saw the re-infestation of Ich but of course my significant other stopped me. I've since fished out the tangs and placed them in QT.
However, I really feel your pain. Some would say that it's about the money spent but really and truly it's about the love for marine life.
If these fishes don't make it through, I'd be inclined to say that I give up but just like you, my passion for the hobbly is unexplainable. You fall and you get back up stronger than before. I for one know now not to put a Regal in my DT.
Thanks for staying with us and giving everyone inspiration to battle our downfalls. Anything is possible as long as you're focused, willing and have an undying passion for this hobby.
