by "been running nicely for a week" what exactly do you mean? You set up the tank a week ago? If so, no fish should go into that tank for several more weeks.

As long as your amm nitrite are 0 and nitrate <30ppm your fine. I assume thats what you mean then your good to go.
Youll be fine 30 gallons is plenty. I think youll be okay just putting both bags in the tank for 30 min and just netting em transfer them in the tank. what kind of clown you thinking about getting? If you want a unique type you could get 2 clarkii clowns. Theyre awesome IMO. Keep us posted!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I think you should wait at least another week and retest. One week is not long enough. If you add 2 fish with little biological filter to support them you will stress them out.

I love the clarkiis. Got two of them a few weeks ago and they are awsome.

+1 to coralline you really should just put a little frozen shrimp in your tank to kick start the cycle. Wait and test your water every couple of days until all your readings come back at zero before adding fish. Putting fish in a one week old salt tank is torture to the fish. They may survive but it is cruel. If you were in a closed room and someone put tear gas in how would you feel. If this is your first tank be responsible and patient. If you rush now on the basics it will cost you $$$.;)

No way your tank is cycled after a week! I wouldn't put any live fish through that either. NOT "all good".

my cycle finished in a week, but thats probably because i used everything from my 29 gallon biocube. What are your parameters? if you list those then we could probably determine whether or not your tank is truly ready

I am new to salt water also. I got my tank on October 21st. I was really excited to put fish in kinda like you. The LFS said my water was good so I got 2 clowns and one died the next day. So then I went and got a fire fish and it died in about 2 weeks. Then I got 2 PJ cardinals. My take got a case of the ich and the clown and one of the cradinals died. Now all I have is one cradinal fish and he is doing great 2 months later. Moral to the story, wait atleast 3 to 4 weeks. My tank is doing great now, lots of coral and 1 fish.

Please let us know what "been running nicely" means? Like there is no ammonia, nitrite, or nitrates? Or, It's been running nicely meaning you put the rock in and got the filters running? If it's the former then add fish, if it's the latter then wait a few more weeks.
